this is my first coffee shop, where the addiction begins.
coffee & drinks- 4/5
i had a glass of hot chocolate which was deliciously delicious. the chocolate melts heavenly when the hot milk was poured. you can choose between toblerone or hershey’s, i ordered the toblerone one and it was good! my friend ordered affogato and as someone who’s not a fan of coffee, i think the coffee here in WOODPECKER has a high standard with reasonable price. my coffee addict friend ordered piccolo and i decided to give it a try. they served the affogato with a cup of ice cream if you dont want it to taste too bitter. so basically i take ¾ of the ice cream, stir it with 2 spoonful of affogato and yea it seems like i’m eating ice cream with a little bit of coffee rather than drinking coffee with a little spoon of ice cream.
cake/food rating - 3/5
i ordered the freshly made waffles. they have two types, the oreo waffle and the original one. i heard that the original one is better so i had it with banana and vanilla ice cream which was soooo addicting. and they also have some breakfast menu so next time i’ll definitely have breakfast in WOODPECKER
price - 5/5
the coffee here will worth your money. affordable and reasonable:)
atmosphere - 5/5
for me the best best thing about WOODPECKER is that once i enter, the atmosphere is cozy, pleasantly comfortable, homey. i can feel the cool breeze from the air-con and the warmth of the sun at the same time. the front side of the shop was fully made of glass, so you can see the road right through it. at some hours, there were shadows which is my favourite aspect while taking pictures. sitting down whilst chatting, made us forget about time. we’ve sit there for like 3 hours but we felt like it has only been like an hour or so. i definitely will come back here again and againnnn:)
for you guys who are planning on visiting, you will find WOODPECKER COFFEE shop at Jalan Panglima Polim V No. 23, Melawai.
